At Poppies Daycare Nursery, we’ve been proudly providing high quality childcare for over 25 years and in this time, we have remained true to our ethos: creating a warm, home-from-home environment where every child can feel safe, supported, and inspired to thrive.

We believe that strong relationships with families are key. By working in partnership with parents (who know their children best) we can provide personalised care that helps each child flourish and reach their full potential.

Flexible Childcare That Works for You

We understand the needs of modern families, which is why we offer wraparound care 51 weeks of the year, only closing for bank holidays and Christmas.

Our nurseries are open Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm, with a variety of session options to suit your schedule.

At the heart of Poppies is a dedicated, passionate team who care deeply about every child and family we support. Many of our staff have been with us for decades, providing consistency, expertise, and a true sense of community across both our settings. When you get in touch you’ll be in the safe hands of the Vicky and Victoria.

Vicky Wheelband, Nursery Manager

Vicky has been part of the Poppies Daycare Nursery family for an incredible 27 years! She oversees everything from HR and training to health & safety, compliance, supporting staff, managing waiting lists, and ensuring we meet Ofsted and EYFS standards, keeping both nurseries running smoothly every day.

Victoria Fell, Deputy Nursery Manager

Victoria Fell brings over 26 years of experience in early years education. As Deputy Manager of Poppies Daycare Nursery, she works closely with Vicky to support staff deployment, manage ratios, address parental concerns, and uphold our high standards of care. Victoria leads our curriculum ethos, ensuring every child experiences engaging, challenging learning opportunities
